Wink Bingo ’s exciting ‘win a Mini’ promotion in Winkmania did not see the New Year in with a bang as predicted by the online bingo site. The thrill of winning the Wink Bingo promotion with the shiny new Mini Cooper prize should have been as exciting as the fireworks that saw in the new decade and New Year, however the promotion was more like a cheap soggy sparkler that you can’t light, and the reason for the rather damp, Wink Bingo squib? Well as yet no one has won the prize or for that matter played the promotional online bingo game due to be played on New Year’s Day, because due to ‘overwhelming demand’ there were technical glitches that could not be resolved and so the game has been rescheduled.
Wink Mini game rescheduled
Bingo Hideout readers will recall our article in early December giving full details of how to play the game and how to obtain tickets. The good news for online bingo players who are keen to take part in the Wink Bingo win a Mini game is that because of the game rescheduling, bingo tickets are still being sold. The game will now be played on the 10th January 2010 at 9.00pm, and lets all hope that the technical hitches will all be sorted out by then.
Technical glitches or player number hitches?
It does beg the question though, is there a possibility that not enough bingo tickets were sold by Wink Bingo to make playing the online bingo game feasible? If so maybe looking at the very high cost of the bingo ticket price might be a good exercise for future promotions, because at £5 per ticket this might be outside the realms of possibility for a lot of bingo player just prior to Christmas and New Year. Surely bingo players are more likely to buy five £1 tickets than just one at a fiver? Although Wink Bingo did make it possible to earn points for free bingo cards, the fact that players would need to play £12,500 worth of Instant games for one free ticket or (slightly more affordable) £1,250 on bingo games to qualify for one free ticket, again might have proved outside of the reach for bingo players on a tight Christmas budget.
