e news that Mecca Bingo has signed an agreement with the makers of Britain’s Got Talent show, is testament to how great the online bingo organisation is at self promotion. Freemantle Media have agreed to allow Mecca to use the name and marketing material to promote a new bingo room at the Mecca Bingo site, based on the popular talent show. Obviously the partnership with Mecca Bingo isn’t going to do Britain’s Got Talent any harm either, but for Mecca Bingo this is without doubt a major coup.

The news story about the latest achievement by Mecca Bingo was covered early yesterday on the Marketing Magazine website, and was quickly picked up by online bingo and gaming sites. EGR said in their article about the 3 year deal between Mecca Bingo and the popular talent show that 18.3 million people had tuned in to see the finale of the last Britain’s got Talent show. This kind of exposure is clearly a marketing dream and for Mecca Bingo the undoubted kudos of being linked to such a popular television show is good fortune indeed.

Britain’s Got Talent has discovered some amazing stars since its inception in 2007, the operatic brilliance of Paul Potts, outstanding break dancing abilities of George Sampson who won the show in 2008 and in 2009 Britain’s Got Talent discovered the remarkable talents of Susan Boyle. Although Susan famously failed to win the first place her audition show performance was seen 200 million times on YouTube.
We have no information regarding what the new Britain’s Got Talent bingo room will look like although we do know that it will most likely feature the logo and music that the show is now famous for. Angus Nisbet of Mecca Bingo parent Rank is quoted on the EGR site as saying “This deal will give us exposure to a new audience, including the opportunity to promote meccabingo.com to Britain’s Got Talent fans. It will also enable us to enhance our offering to our existing customers.”
